Our Story
Nordikkandle is a small family business that was created separately as a sister brand from our first company Linumø Copenhagen.
Because candles are primarily intended to provide a source of light on dark days, its second nature is to provide a source of rest, relief and calm to face winter. That’s why we decided to create a full-fledged brand to highlight what these little objects can bring as happiness in everyday life.
Our wish is to bring a feeling of Danish “hygge” – feelings of comfort, happiness and peace to your home.
And it’s during the winter months that the brightness is at its lowest… But in the end, every occasion is good to bring a warm atmosphere.
Nordik Kandle
Nordik Kandle for us, is that we like to combine the useful with the pleasant.
We associate candles with coziness and warmth, which accompanies any season with brightness. As you may know, Nordic countries can be a little tough during the winter period and the darkness makes up most of the day. Candle lights are therefore very much appreciated.
For us, it’s a state of mind where we want to slow down and enjoy the present moment in order to put in place small things that will improve well-being. Nordik Candles are here to fill that state of mind.
It is from the moment when the flame is brought to the wick of the candle that the universe of comfort settles down.
Nordikkandle wants to bring you this Nordic light with Scandinavian design into your home.
High quality and customer satisfaction is very important for us. Our candles last a long time – up to 105 hours!
Vegetable Vax
Our handmade candles are made from 100% pure and natural vegetable wax. They are vegan and they are not harmful to your health.
Vegetable wax, which we use to make our candles, is not toxic and is considered to be a clean-burning wax. This oil is therefore not releasing harming chemicals into the air.
Created using wax with an excellent, crystalline visual pattern.
Product Care
When lighting your candles, always make sure they are on a flat surface. Safe distance between burning candles should be at least 10 cm apart to prevent them from melting and causing spills.
If you want to decrease the flame on the candles, you can cut the wick from time to time.
…and don’t forget to blow your candles off when leaving!
